Katherine D. Norfleet, affectionately known as “Pastor Kathy,” founded Images of Glory, Inc. in 2000. After finding her “treasure” in the trauma she suffered as a child, she is now making it her life’s work to advocate for children who have no voice and for families destroyed by trauma and abuse.
She created Images of Glory as the vehicle in which she could heal victims of trauma and abuse, and awaken the image of God’s glory within every person the organization serves. Kathy states, “If each person could understand that when they look into the mirror, they are looking at the very reflection of God. No matter what they look like right now or how they feel about themselves, they are made in God’s image and likeness. They are not a mistake.”
Pastor Kathy hopes that these very children and families will grow to be well-adjusted, self-sufficient, confident, and productive members of their communities by providing them a safe and loving home to rest, an educational house to develop, and community-based programs to blossom.
Pastor Kathy spreads God’s message of hope and love not only in the Central Florida area but internationally as well. She travels quite often to places like Africa, Haiti, and Cuba to minister the Gospel and assists in providing medical aid. Wherever there are children, you will find her. If you ask her how many children she has she might say, “too many to count, I have children all over the world.”
She is a retired army veteran, a children’s advocate, and a staunch supporter of education. She holds a BS degree in Criminal Justice as well as certifications in the areas of Christian life coaching, case management supervising, and human traffic prevention facilitating. She serves on multiple executive boards in Orange and Seminole Counties and is the recipient of many awards including the Modern Day Abolitionist Award for her extensive work in eradicating Human Trafficking. Also, she is a Pastor, missionary, author, dutiful wife, mother, and grandmother. She has faithfully served the Central Florida community since 1998.
Her motto is Isaiah 61:1, which states “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
