Shayla Goldsmith-Tate, MS

Shayla has been the AP of Victory Academy since 2014. She has a  B.A in Mass Communications and a MFA in Creative Writing. Although she has a passion for writing and the performing arts, her love for children and the desire to see them taught in academic excellence has given her the fervor and drive to teach through exciting and interactive instruction. Shayla has served as an educator for the last 14 years.  Teaching is very rewarding for her as she loves making a difference in the lives of children and believes that teaching is a privilege. Shayla also believes every child is unique and gifted, and as a teacher their job is to help perfect the uniqueness of every gift in the child.  Henry Brooks Adams said, “A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” According to Shayla, “children are our tomorrow and we must begin shaping them today.”
