Images of Glory, Inc. (“IOG”) is laser-focused on providing opportunities for the development of girls, boys, and families to develop their self-esteem, confidence, and self-sufficiency. As such, education is one of IOG’s core beliefs and an essential element in IOG’s overall strategy. As such, our school, Victory Academy, is one of the three pillars designed to deliver our mission and the promises we have made to the people and communities we serve. IOG is deeply committed to providing programming and services that foster positive change and “true beauty” that emerges from each person, family, and community.
About Victory Academy
Victory Academy (“VA”) works in partnership with its parents and community to instill in its students’ high standards for moral and spiritual development, academic success, leadership, and responsible citizenship. VA’s mission is to provide the best academic program as well as create the best learning environment possible for the comprehensive education of our students. Like IOG, VA’s enduring goal is to foster self-confidence and provide students with the academic foundation necessary for them to reach their real potential and enjoy a successful, fulfilling life.
The Victory Academy Motto: "Our Students are Seeds of Greatness"
We all know that no two students have the same skills or learning style. However, the administrators, teachers, and staff at VA are united in their belief that all children 1) have the power to learn, 2) are seeds of greatness, and 3) can succeed regardless of their circumstances. That is why, unlike most schools, VA creates individual learning plans for every child. Our learning plans combine direct instruction, small-group work, and one-on-one tutoring in a way that works for each students’ success.
Victory Academy’s Academics
We believe in making our students aware of rich and diverse cultures in our community is as important as traditional academics. Therefore, our coursework includes classes such as Language Arts, Math, Natural and Social Sciences, and Technology, as well as various individual courses geared towards creative and visual arts.
Academics and Creative Arts
Our academic program uses Abeka® to focus on developing and mastering students’ communicative skills beginning with a strong reading and writing program. Abeka® is a leading Christian-based educational program with a proven track record of providing over 50 years of excellence. Read more about Abeka® at https://www.abeka.com/.
Our Music Department will inspire every student to reach deep and find the music within. In this department, students will have the opportunity to learn basic music theory, vocal techniques, and how to use some of the latest recording software.
Our Drama Department will awaken students’ imagination. Students will have the opportunity to explore the world of theatre while learning the stage and how to express themselves in front of an audience with confidence.
In our Art Department, students learn art basics by exploring history and cultures around the world. Techniques both familiar and nearly lost to time create opportunities for imagination and discovery. Our art teacher strives to keep the projects unique, and open-ended to give each student the chance to find their talent within the visual arts. Whether it is painting, using string, or a technique from native Mexico students always have something new to learn and explore.
